The majority of my digital reading involves reading on social media, particularly Instagram and X, where I frequently read short blog-style articles and captions. Since these postings are typically brief and simple to read, I can process knowledge quickly. Since short-form content is more interesting, it fits into my daily routine, I usually spend more time on it. In general, I read more short, easily readable stuff on digital media than lengthy books or essays.

I’m most surprised by how quickly digital media has evolved from simple communication tools into complex systems that affect how people connect, think, and learn. Information sharing was the main function of early digital media, but nowadays it incorporates algorithms, artificial intelligence, and personalized content that influence what we see and how we respond to it. It’s cool to see how much influence these technologies have over everyday life, from education to entertainment. Seeing this evolution makes it easier for me to see that digital media is more than just a tool.
