When I think about using AI in my own work or field, I feel bullish because, although it can improve healthcare and increase productivity, it also raises real concerns about security risks and ethical issues in technology. AI technology is one of the most widely used tools in the medical field today. Doctors can discover certain diseases earlier, being able to get ahead of them before spreading. AI can increase productivity in certain fields, taking care of the timely tasks in a short period. There are many security risks that come with AI that have to do mainly with data corruption. There have been ethical issues dealing with AI regarding certain things, like privacy violations and discrimination.

2. Looking back at everything I’ve read and written this semester, my thinking on AI has shifted a little bit. I used to feel as if AI was this almighty tool that would help the world and, better yet, change the world. Yet after reading and learning certain things from this class, I feel that AI can be dangerous in some ways. AI has the power to do a lot of things, so there have not yet been any constraints put on the technology. So it leaves room for ones to manipulate and cause things like data leaks and privacy concerns. AI is also scary in some ways because with their work being so efficient there taking humans’ jobs.

3. If I had to say one thing to someone who disagrees with me, it would be: AI is very beneficial to the school system. I say this because I truly feel that if AI is taught and fully understood for what its capabilities are, I feel teachers can utilize the tool and help students learn in an easier way. Yea ones might say students aren’t learning anything when using certain tools like Chat GPT, but what they don’t know is how beneficial the tools it contains and all the other sites that contain AI tools. AI can grab the attention of many, and learning the ins and outs of AI causes one to learn how to truly utilize AI. I feel that there needs to be courses now in younger grade schools, implementing the negative and positive effects of AI.
